Celebrating India’s Cultural Heritage

Why Cultural Education Is Needed
India’s rich culture, traditions, festivals, and languages shape who we are. Cultural education helps us understand our roots, respect diversity, and live in harmony. In a fast-changing world, it preserves our heritage, builds pride and identity—especially among youth—and promotes values like tolerance and responsibility. Cultural education is not just about the past; it helps create informed, confident, and balanced citizens for the future.
Our Mission
We believe cultural education is the foundation of strong identities and responsible communities. India’s timeless heritage offers powerful lessons in harmony, respect, and ethical living—yet many of these values are fading in today’s fast-paced world.
Our mission is to bring Indian culture to life through accessible, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences, especially for students and young minds. By reconnecting with our roots, we inspire pride, celebrate diversity, and help carry forward the values that unite India as a nation.

Teaching Culture
Through Science
Science and culture are not separate—they blend beautifully:
-
Festivals & Science: Diwali cleaning, Holi natural colors, Makar Sankranti foods
-
Cultural Practices & Health: Yoga, barefoot walking, eating with hands
-
Mythology & Nature: Panchatantra teaches ecosystems, constellations, and biology
-
Experiments with Culture: Making festival crafts, cooking traditional foods, measuring shadows
-
STEM in Culture: Temple architecture, Ayurveda, textiles, calendars & astronomy

Why Teach Indian Culture

About Me
Namaste! I’m Pooja Katiyar, Nanostepz is not just an entrepreneurial venture—it is my mission.
I want to reintroduce Indian stories, celebrations, culture, and values into children’s daily learning in a fun, engaging, and modern way.a joyful learning space dedicated to bringing Indian stories, culture, and festivals into the everyday lives of children.
Growing up, I absorbed values like kindness, courage, respect, and gratitude through Indian folk tales, epics, and celebrations. These stories shaped my identity and gave me a deep sense of belonging—something I see many children missing in today’s fast-paced digital world.
Through my classes, workshops, and storytelling sessions, I aim to:
-
Introduce children to Indian mythology, folk tales, and real-life heroes
-
Explain the deeper meaning behind festivals and cultural practices
-
Instill universal values through engaging, age-appropriate stories
-
Help children build a strong sense of identity and pride
-
Make learning about Indian culture fun, interactive, and relevant
My teaching blends traditional wisdom with modern, child-friendly methods—art, music, dramatic play, hands-on activities, and simple explanations that connect with a child’s world.
Growing up, Indian stories and traditions shaped who I am. They taught me values in a simple, beautiful way—through epics, folk tales, festivals, and a sense of community. Today, children are more familiar with international cartoons and celebrations than their own cultural roots.
India’s cultural wealth is not just history—it’s a living guide. Teaching it helps children grow with confidence, identity, and strong values.
Through culture, children develop:
-
Moral values: Kindness, honesty, bravery, responsibility
-
Emotional intelligence: Learning from characters who face challenges and grow
-
Sense of identity: Understanding roots builds confidence and pride
-
Respect for diversity: India’s multiple regions, languages, and traditions teach inclusivity
-
Creativity & imagination: Mythology and festivals spark imagination far more than textbooks14

My Journey
From Research to Cultural Educator
I began my career in biotechnology research, driven by curiosity and a love for discovery. Research taught me patience, discipline, and critical thinking.
I then moved into science teaching to spark curiosity in young minds. But I soon noticed a gap—children were learning concepts, but losing connection with their cultural roots.
Science teaches how the world works.
Culture teaches who we are.
I realized my purpose: to help children connect with their roots, learn values, and grow into confident, culturally-aware individuals.
Today, I combine my scientific mindset with creative teaching methods—storytelling, arts, crafts, experiments, music, and festivals—to make Indian culture fun, engaging, and meaningful.
